A good run

It's less than a month before the Singapore Standard Chartered Marathon 2007....I am gonna take part in the full marathon (my 1st full marathon). I am still struggling with my training. Just last Sunday, I participated in the NB Real Run 2007 15km, at the back of the changi runway. I clocked 1:49:47 (no.277 position) despite the super duper hot weather. To date, I haven't suffer any knee pain after the Army half marathon.... Oei LH diagnosed me ITB syndrome (Illio Tibial Band). I went to see physiotherapist in AH.. Being fearful, I really followed thru the appointments and exercises designed by the sport trainer..

Today, I started my run at 7.20am..To push myself further, I planned to run from home to AMK and back home.. I took the Upper Thomson Road. To my surprise, I saw many joggers turning into Upper Old Thomson Road. Thus, I turned in to follow the joggers..Its a nice place to jog with greenary, fresh air and many slops for resistance training. I met many elite joggers who really inspire me to push further..Well, when coming back, I think I was really too tire to continue. I stopped at Yishun to ta bao the famously fried bee hoon mee.. This stall has operated their business since early nineties (Blk 101 coffee shop). Their deep fried chicken wing is the best though sinful.

I walked back thereafter.... I run for a total of 2hr 45hr.. I am gonna run for 3.15hr the next week.....no time to waste

My MacBook

Hubby is back from Osaka with lots of goodies for boo, bii and me
The plane landed half an hour earlier for whatever reason
well too bad, hubby has to wait for me cos i was already on my way to the airport

Back home......
Boo has very sensitive nose.....she could smell adiguna from miles away....
True enough, she dashed out of the house without my permission in search for her precious master
Bii seemed like in shock cos there wasnt any reaction upon meeting his master
As usual, they have their omiyage when their master has settled down
and i also have my omiyage, MacBook , the laptop with the most basci function on the shelf... whats more do you expect? its free.......

MacBook really looks cool. Mine is white as it signified purity.
I am a not too bad, still managed to understand some of the basic function of the operating system....but there are a lot more to learn cos its really alien to me

Goodbye Grandpa

My grandpa had an acute myocardial infraction(heart attack) and had passed away on 13th July 2006. It was so sudden and shocking to us. He had no major illnesses except for his urology's problem. Accordingly, he was having some supper which consisted of porridge and some other dishes (Teochew's style makan). Thereafter followed by his favourite Hsin Dao beer. He collapsed at home. Although he was rushed to the hospital but was asytolic even before he could reach the entrance. A furneral is staged for him for 5days and he will be cremated at Mandai crematorium on 17th July 2006.

My grandpa was a typical Teochew man. He was robust in built and spoke only Teochew. Sad to say, I am not very close to him because we seldom talk even when we met during gathering. He was quiet most of the time but seemed to enjoy the comapny of us. The most he said to me was 'Jia ba wer' means have to you eaten. This is the most evidly memory I have on him.

Goodbye grandpa.
